Data Deletion

Billy lets users initiate account deletion directly inside the app. This page explains what happens when that request is made.
Delete Your Account in the App
- Open Billy and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open your profile, then go to Settings and Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Review the warning message and confirm the deletion request.
What Billy Deletes
- Your Billy account profile and stored preferences.
- Your stored receipts, receipt images, extracted receipt data, and split history.
- Your budgets, analytics records, push tokens, and in-app notifications.
- Your friend records stored inside Billy for that account.
What May Be Retained
Billy may retain limited records where required by law, necessary for fraud prevention, dispute handling, subscription recordkeeping, or other legitimate compliance purposes.
Important Subscription Notice
Deleting your Billy account does not cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. To stop future renewals, cancel the subscription in the relevant app store account settings.
