Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Billy mobile application, website, and related services. By creating an account or using Billy, you agree to these Terms.

Billy is operated by Billy in the United Arab Emirates. Questions can be sent to contact@billyapp.online.

1. The Service

Billy helps users scan receipts, store spending records, split bills, track budgets, and use AI-assisted features such as receipt parsing, voice parsing, and spending insights.

Billy is a productivity tool. It is not a bank, money transmitter, accounting firm, tax adviser, legal adviser, or emergency service.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to use the service in your location and old enough to form a binding agreement under applicable law. If local law requires a higher minimum age than 13, that higher age applies.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.
• You must keep your device, sign-in credentials, and linked email account secure.
• You may delete your Billy account from within the app, subject to the Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Billy may offer auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock paid features such as higher receipt limits, advanced analytics, and enhanced AI functionality.

• Billing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, not by Billy directly.
• Subscription pricing, renewal terms, trial terms, and cancellation controls are presented in the app store purchase flow.
• You can restore eligible purchases through the in-app restore option.
• You can cancel renewals through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Deleting your Billy account does not automatically cancel an active app store subscription.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Billy for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive purposes.
• Upload content that you do not own or have permission to process or share.
• Interfere with the service, reverse engineer it, or bypass limits.
• Use Billy to harass others, impersonate others, or misrepresent shared bill information.
• Submit malicious files, spam, or automated abuse traffic.

6. AI Features

Billy uses third-party AI services to help process receipts, audio, and related instructions. AI-generated outputs can be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing extracted items, prices, splits, and any AI-generated insight before relying on them.

7. User Content and License

You keep ownership of the content you submit to Billy, including receipt photos, text, and audio. You grant Billy a limited license to host, store, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the service in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

8. Availability and Changes

Billy may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue part of the service from time to time. We may also update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page.

9. Disclaimers and Liability

Billy is provided on an as available and as is basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free AI outputs. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Billy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

10. Termination

You may stop using Billy at any time. Billy may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated, if misuse creates risk to users or the service, or if required by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the United Arab Emirates, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
